CSA at Jere Farms

 

What is a CSA? Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a production and marketing model whereby consumers buy shares of a farm's harvest in advance. Consumers become CSA members by paying an agreed amount at the beginning of the growing season, either in one lump sum.

We are currently offering a CSA for 2025.

Some portions of the CSA programs have been modified to best fit the busyness of the summer CSA pick up and farmer market schedule.

On Farm pick up will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday ONLY….. We learned that trying to facility the CSA pick up and getting loaded for Thursday farmers markets was just to much for our picking/harvesting crews and building bags and be able to leave on time for our Thursday farmers markets.

There will be no extensions to the season due to weekly shares not being picked up, vacations or being out of town. It is up to the CSA member to have a family member, friend or other to pick up their CSA. If a CSA is not picked up, a credit or double up for the following week will NOT be extended.

There are no refunds, credits or cancellations. Due to the nature of the administrative costs of customers signing up as well as harvest planning based on the number of CSA members who sign up at the beginning of the year, we have made the commitment to CSA members and those that attend farmers markets.

We encourage our CSA members to examine your CSA share for the week and switch out any items that you do not desire. We understand that certain produce store and keep and customers will want more of certain products throughout the season. Please feel free to switch out and exchange items.

EBT and WIC is accepted as payment towards your CSA. UPCAP, Project Fresh coupons/vouchers can be used towards the payment of your CSA share.

  2. Newberry Farmers Market - Thursday’s 4 pm to 6 pm

  3. St Ignace Farmers Market- Thursday’s 3 pm to 6 pm

  4. Les Cheneaux Artisan Farmers Market - Sunday 10 am to 2 pm

What is csa?

Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA model) is a system that connects the producer and consumers within the food system more closely by allowing the consumer to subscribe to the harvest of a certain farm or group of farms.
